The Laurier Summer Institute for Research Methods (LSIRM) is a one-week summer school designed to offer introductory and advanced training in research methods for students, researchers and professionals. 

Workshops are open to everyone. You will receive a letter of completion.

$202 + HST (or tax in your province)

One day class

$335 + HST (or tax in your province)

Two day class

$615 + HST (or tax in your province)

Discounts include:

  • Early bird pricing extended – Save 20% if you register by Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
  • Students from any institution save 10%. Email lsirm@wlu.ca for details. 
  • Laurier alumni and staff save 10%. Discount applied in cart. Laurier staff please use P-card and process in Chrome River.
  • Staff paying for a student please enrol using the students name, address and email and only at the end use your WLU P-card for payment; then allocate in Chrome to your desired index. [Internal transfers are not available to pay for LSIRM courses].
  • Register for 3+ workshops and save 15%. Discount applied in cart. 

Accessing Your LSIRM Course

Once you've registered for your course, you can access it through the Continuing Education site. Login using the same email you used to register for LSIRM.

  • SPSS participants: Free - read term details, and ensure you have access to software for the workshop.
  • NVivo participants: Free - read term details, and ensure you have access to software for the workshop.
